THE PRESCOTT BEE CLUB
Bee Enthusiasts and Educators of Prescott
Locating the Queen
WELCOME beekeepers, bee enthusiasts, backyard honey lovers, and those who come with questions about keeping, caring for, encouraging, relocating, or other interests in bees and honey.
We began this club as beginner beekeepers ourselves. We are looking to build community in support of the bees and each other in tending to them.
Beekeeping is COOL!

MENTORSHIP AVAILABILITY
Pictured here are John Michaluk and David Alfonse, Beekeeper Mentors with the Prescott Bee Club at the home of a new beekeeper doing a complete hive inspection on Sunday morning, May 22, 2022. The previous day, John and David visited the home of another new PBC member who had caught a swarm. John gave instruction to the member on releasing the Queen.
The Prescott Bee Club is proud to offer mentorship to new club
members in the "art" of beekeeping. Contact us if you
are new to beekeeping. We will assist you as time permits.

WHEN THE UNIT DOES NOT EQUAL ONE...
This behavior of bees is called "festooning" and we can observe it when the bees are working together to create a honeycomb or repair it. They join their legs in the form of a living chain called "festoon" and so they can build their honeycomb.
"Joining is a beginning; Being together is progress;
Working together is a success."
